Live Technical Analysis Tool

Technical analysis is a trading tool that analyses statistics acquired from trading activity, such as price movement and volume, to evaluate securities and attempt to forecast their future movement. Unlike fundamental analysts, who attempt to determine a security’s intrinsic value, technical analysts examine a security’s strength or weakness and estimate future price movements using price charts and various analytical techniques.

Analysts have created a number of technical indicators over the years in an attempt to properly forecast future price changes. Some indicators are primarily concerned with identifying the current market trend, such as support and resistance levels, whilst others are concerned with determining the strength of a trend and its chances of continuation. Trendlines, moving averages, and momentum indicators like the moving average convergence divergence (MACD) indicator are all common technical indicators.
